Story
Vamsy Krishna’s journey began when, in an attempt to help a younger child retrieve a kite, he fell and suffered a severe electrical accident that left his entire body badly burnt. Surviving the accident was only the beginning. He was left physically disabled in his right hand and had to relearn how to live and function. Through persistence and determination, he trained himself to write with both hands and eventually learned to hold and use a pen with the affected hand itself.
His trauma did not end there. He later experienced the loss of his mother and sister, along with the lasting effects of complex trauma. A difficult breakup, career struggles, and the overwhelming circumstances of life added further layers to what he was carrying. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also experienced job loss.
Yet his journey was not simply about surviving one difficulty after another. He began to make sense of each experience in his own way. Instead of seeing his difficulties only as wounds to recover from, he worked through them individually and gradually transformed many of them into sources of strength, insight, and understanding.
Psychology did not begin for Vamsy Krishna simply as a career. It emerged as a natural way of understanding life, people, relationships, and the patterns that connect them. He developed an ability to notice connections and patterns that may not be immediately visible to others, including family patterns, generational influences, psychological processes, and the deeper or spiritual meanings people may find in their experiences.
Through repeatedly breaking down and rebuilding himself, he evolved not just into a psychologist, but into a transpersonal therapist, integrating psychological understanding with a broader exploration of meaning, consciousness, relationships, and personal growth.
Today, Vamsy Krishna is a psychologist, therapist, teacher, husband, and father. His journey continues to shape the way he understands people not simply through what he has studied, but through what he has lived, questioned, rebuilt, and learned to transform.

Approach
Vamsy Krishna’s approach draws from transpersonal, psychodynamic, and systemic perspectives. Alongside thoughts, emotions, and behavior, he explores attachment, unconscious processes, family and generational patterns, and the deeper meanings people may find in their experiences.
His transpersonal work may include exploring archetypes, dreams, symbols, personal narratives, existential questions, and states of consciousness when these are meaningful to the person. These are approached as avenues for reflection and self-understanding rather than as fixed interpretations.
He also looks at the individual within their wider systems—family, relationships, culture, and life circumstances—while helping them recognise connections and patterns that may otherwise remain unnoticed. The aim is to develop greater self-awareness, integration, practical capacity, and a deeper sense of meaning and direction.
Mindfulness is an important part of Vamsy Krishna’s approach, helping people become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, bodily experiences, impulses, and unconscious patterns as they arise. Rather than immediately reacting to them, he encourages a more observant and present relationship with one’s inner experience, creating space for greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and conscious choice.
In mediation, he facilitates structured and balanced communication rather than taking sides. He helps clarify underlying concerns, perspectives, roles, and interests so that people can work towards practical agreements while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

What a Conversation May Look Like
Your first session will usually begin with Vamsy Krishna taking a detailed history to understand you, your concerns, relationships, family background, significant experiences, and the circumstances that have brought you to counselling. He may ask direct questions and explore areas that help him understand not only what is happening now, but also the patterns and systems surrounding it.
You can expect Vamsy Krishna to listen carefully, ask direct questions, and help you look at your situation from perspectives you may not have considered. He may question your assumptions, point out patterns or contradictions, and ask you to examine what lies beneath your immediate concerns.
You may be asked to look at your thoughts, emotions, reactions, relationships, family patterns, and the role you play within them. At times, the conversation may move deeper into your past, unconscious patterns, dreams, symbols, or questions of meaning and purpose.
Between sessions, you may be asked to work on specific things rather than simply wait for the next conversation. This could include mindfulness practices, observation of your thoughts and reactions, journaling, reflection, exercises, or practical changes in your everyday life. What you work on will depend on what emerges during your sessions and what would be most useful for you.
You may also be guided to pause and observe what is happening within you through mindfulness what you are thinking, feeling, and experiencing in the moment before deciding how to respond.
When the concern involves a relationship or family conflict, you may be asked to look beyond who is right or wrong and examine the interests, responsibilities, expectations, boundaries, and practical realities involved. His background in law and mediation allows him to approach such conversations with a structured focus on communication, negotiation, and workable decisions.
He may be supportive, but he will also challenge you when necessary. You may leave a session with questions to think about, a different way of looking at the situation, something to practise, or a decision you need to work towards.
The conversation is ultimately about helping you see more clearly, understand more deeply, and act more consciously.
Is Vamsy Krishna the Right Fit for You?
Vamsy Krishna may be the right fit for you if you are:
- Willing to take responsibility for your thoughts, choices, actions, and role in your situation
- Ready to look within yourself, even when you do not yet have the insight or answers
- Willing to question your own assumptions rather than looking only for external explanations
- Independent and willing to develop greater autonomy in how you think, decide, and respond
- Ready for deeper exploration of your experiences, relationships, patterns, and inner world
- Hardworking and committed to doing the work between sessions, not only during counselling
- Open to being challenged, questioned, and offered perspectives that may be uncomfortable
- Willing to distinguish between what you can change, influence, and accept, rather than trying to control everything around you
Vamsy Krishna may not be the right fit for you if you:
- Find it difficult to take accountability for your part in a situation
- Tend to blame others or external circumstances without examining your own role
- Prefer to consistently externalise the source of your difficulties
- Want someone to simply confirm your existing beliefs rather than question them
- Are unwilling to engage in inner work or self-examination
- Prefer to remain primarily in fantasy, idealisation, or imagined solutions rather than engaging with reality and practical action
- Expect counselling to change other people or circumstances without changing your own responses
